Garopapilles is the reunion of two wine and gastronomy passionates, united to share with you their love of good products.
Graduated from the Ferrandi school in Paris, Tanguy Laviale worked for several years in the greatest kitchens in Paris. In 2007, he starts a degree in viticulture and oenology at Château Haut-Bailly, Pessac-Leognan classified growth, where he opens a « private table », to offer a gastronomic showcase on a par with its reputation.
This is where, in 2010, he meets Gael Morand, former diplomat, converted in the wine marketing, and passionate about wines for several years. After roaming in a lot of wine regions, in France and elsewhere, Gael offer at Garopapilles an eclectic and ambitious range of wines.
After the creation of a wine mail order selling company, they welcome you today in their new venue.

Before becoming our Restaurant-Wine Cellar, 62 rue Abbé de l’Epée was first occupied by “La Rue des Enfants” (Kids’ street), a toy store connecting Abbé de l’Epée street and Judaique street.
Then, at the beginning of the 2000’s, a tea room-library, the “Parci-Parla”, opened, managed by the founders of the cultural association of Bordeaux, “Ici et ailleurs”.
By entering in this venue ourselves, we wished to give it back its original colors and materials: stone from Bordeaux, iron and oak beam. On the floor, a wagon wood from the 50’s, found in the Champagne region, gives a great warmth to the rooms.
After 6 months of work, a comfortable and intimism venue was born.
